What an amazing day this was! Literally could not fault it. Was superbly organised, had such a fantastic fun atmosphere, no stays meant that you were able to concentrate on just your round then relax and enjoy the rest of the day, do a little shopping at some of the brilliant bling filled stalls, really was perfect.
We didn’t have our best round, nor our worst, distracted heelwork was the most costly, especially on the turns when the spectators caught her eye! A lovely recall though, drifted on the finish to sniff the steward but given how different the day is from your average show I was really pleased with her. At the end we ended up lying joint 10th place but sadly lost the run off on a slightly crooked present and wide finish towards steward again. I certainly couldn’t complain, we lost to a beautiful recall by the other competitor and could go home happy that we tried.
Would love to qualify for this event again in the future!
