Faith waiting for treats as a puppy
Faith is from our long awaited ‘Charmed’ litter, all sold before they were even conceived. She is a lovely puppy in mind, body and soul who seems to steal hearts wherever she goes. We are excited to have her in our lives and very much looking forward to our future together.
Faith has been a busy be since she arrived in the world and thoroughly enjoys everything she does and is willing to try anything for a treat or a game! She has her Dads cheeky personality and love of people and her Mums quirky ways and ability to relax.
Faith completed her first puppy track (along with her sister Zuri) with the BMHS of GB at the tender age of 15 weeks but due to other commitments we haven’t been able to pursue this further just yet, but hopefully one for the future.
Faith commenced showing at 6mths old and she quickly qualified for CRUFTS, although not shown much as a puppy she was awarded 2 Best Puppy in Breeds and 1 Puppy Group 4 placing. Faith also won a Best in Match at just 16mths old despite rarely attending matches and so attended her first ever Dog of the Year during 2016. My favourite win of hers today has to be CRUFTS 2017 where she was placed 2nd in a lovely, strong BASC Working Gundog / Any variety Pointer, Setter, HPR Open Bitch Class! What better than a show award at CRUFTS specifically for working dogs!
Faith takes part in trick dog work just as her parents and has gained her certificates to Expert level so far, we don’t do much of this at the moment as we’ve been busy with other things but its something we do for fun as and when we can and I hope to achieve her Champion title in due course. Faiths trainability also came in handy when filming in 2019 for a commercial shoot.
In 2016 Faith began a competitive obedience class and at 18mths, after just 15 lessons and 1 previous limit show she placed 1st in the Introductory Class and won into Pre-Beginners! This also entitled her to the obedience title of INTRO ex. She quickly followed that win with another Introductory class win that put her into 2nd place in the Obedience league table. Her 2nd Pre-Beginners class she would have won (on points for work in the ring) if she had not broken her stays, this unfortunately happened at her next Pre-Beginners and so we took a break and in 2017 she returned to win Pre-Beginners and gain her Obedience title of PRE-BEG ex
August 2016 Faith had her first agility lesson and absolutely loved it! We unfortunately had to give up for the time being owing to personal issues of mine but I hope to return to it sometime. Who knows she might follow in her Dads paw steps and end up an agility dog, she certainly has his ‘Joie de vivre’.
Faith passed her Kennel Club Good Citizens Bronze test at Bath Canine Society Championship Show when she was 18mths old. As with our other dogs we have no plans to do the other levels unless the opportunity arises and it fits in with whatever else we are doing.
Faiths field training has begun well and she completed her first Working Test at just 7mths old, as I had placed many years ago with Kodi it was an NFC (not for competition) entry but I was delighted to see that she would have been placed 3rd! In her first test of the 2016 season at 19mths old she was placed 6th in Novice Dog / Novice Handler at the Italian Spinone Club of Great Britain Working Test, it is unlikely that I will have time to compete in any during 2017 sadly but who knows.
I am also proud that at just a year old Faith worked a season as part of the beating team on a local shoot and she had the honour of being invited back every single year since then.
I am loving every moment with this lovely little lady!
