Gabriella and I both had a fantastic time watching our first International Dog Show!
The journey over was a peaceful one, it was our first time using the Eurotunnel and it was plain sailing all the way, I had heard that driving in France was a nightmare but I found it no problem at all.
We arrived at the hotel evening time and went straight to our room to settle and followed that with dinner and bed (after arranging our morning Taxi). Dinner was lovely but a warm bed after our long journey was better.
In the morning we were up bright and early for our buffet breakfast followed by catching our taxi to the Exhibition Centre where the World Dog Show and French Championships were being held. Weimaraners were on first thing and today it was their French Championship classes. It was so very exciting arriving at the Parc Des Exhibitions, we picked up a catologue (later discovered it was a WDS one instead!) and bought a few commemorative coins of the WDS.
Weimaraners were easy to spot as they were directly by the entrance, we could see people warming up their dogs and practicing their stacking in preparation for their classes.
We took a wander round till the classes were due to start then primarly spent the day ringside watching the classes and meeting lots of lovely people. Judging was interesting, especially the LH classes.
At the end of the day we strolled round the stands then headed back to the hotel for dinner and bed.
